Clam Scramble 2021

Thank you all for your support over the years for your amazing support. As you aware there is a lot of work and planning in order to make an event successful, with the unknowns early in the year our committee was unable to mitigate the plans to ensure a successful event. We are hopeful to start the planning stage early in order to accomplish the fine details for the 2022 run/walk/crawl.

Runner, Walkers, & Volunteers you are the heart of this race. Stay safe we will see you all in  2022!

THE COURSE starts on the sandy beach side of Deep Creek campground and quickly plunges you (knee high) into chilly waters where Deep Creek meets the sea. Run the rocky shoreline of Cook Inlet to meet obstacles like the Ring-Around-the-Rocks, the Mud-Crawl and more. Then, head again into the frigid water at Ninilchik River, run around the Ninilchik Harbor and back through Ninilchik Village. Lastly, you’ll climb that pesky little “Staircase to Glory” to the finish line at Ninilchik View State Park Campground. Run, walk or crawl, all ages and levels of competition will find it challenging, rewarding and packed full of fun! There will be an alternate course should weather dictate the need for it, the course will still involve water, mud, obstacles and fun.

Our focus for the run is to provide information about our local Razor Clam issue, King Salmon issue & other local natural resource.

Prizes will be awarded to top three finishing ladies & gents in 6 age classes;

If you’re not interested in running but want to be a part of the fun please join us, help by volunteering or becoming a race sponsor! Contact Debbie Cary at (907)398-8308 {feel free to text or call for more information}. EVERYONE’S participation is welcome & greatly appreciated.
